On this page we'd like to tell you a bit about Ian & Grahame
and the story from their early days of digging to their publishing of this website.
Ian and Grahame Wilson are from Stockport, Cheshire which is just
outside Manchester, England. Their interest in digging and collecting bottles dates back
to the early 70's, when they were just boys, both lads are now in their 30's (their exact
ages will remain a secret!) and their interest in bottles is still very much alive.
Ian (the eldest of the two brothers) still goes digging most
weekends, work and family life permitting, and is described as a real sad case when it
comes to bottles, if you visit Ian's house you will find bottles in nearly every room,
what Ian's 3 young children think of this we'll never know, but they must think it is
normal behaviour for their dad to come home filthy, carrying bags of dirty old
bottles. Congratulations go to Samantha, Ian's long suffering wife, for her
continued support for her husbands rather mucky hobby. If you visit the Awesome Web
Bottle Store you will find the criteria to be classed as overboard about bottles, let me
assure you that Ian fits this criteria to the last detail.
Grahame's interest in bottles has taken a different route, his
time is now taken up by his P.C., long hours sitting at the computer, catching up with the
latest technology, which eventually led to the construction of this web site. Grahame knew
nothing about computers before he bought the system, and now is becoming a bit of a
wizard, I think he has surprised himself at his capability, Ian supplies the bottles, but
would not be able to bring you this site where it not for Grahame's long hard work on the
computer.
There is one family name missing from these pages, who surely
deserves a mention, that is Denise, Ian and Grahame's little sister (the author of this
page), who has helped enormously in constructing this site, who also spent long hours at
the computer, Denise has always been in the background, even going digging with the boys
in her younger days, but now finds computing a much cleaner pastime.
